Weather in Las Vegas
Generally speaking, visitors to Las Vegas must keep in mind that since you are in the desert, daytime and nighttime weather may vary by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, even though it could be over one hundred degrees outside in the summer, the casinos may be freezing to some. With that in mind, a wise visitor who plans on hanging out on the strip should always have some kind of sweater or jacket on hand. It’s easiest to tie a light cover up around your waist if you’re casually dressed. Ladies, don’t take this advice lightly—we can’t even count how many sweatshirts we have purchased from hotel gift shops in past years because we didn’t expect a place to be so cold! Also, be aware that it is quite cool here in the winter so hotel pools are generally closed November through February. It is frequently VERY windy in LV so if you are picky about your “do” we suggest carrying a small can of hairspray in your purse.
