Check for Pay With Points Deals
Although this concept may apply more to local ladies, visitors with players’ cards CAN take advantage of these deals IF they remember to ask about them because they are sometimes NOT publicized. Here is how the deals work: get a player’s card at EVERY casino where you play. When you get around to going to eat or buy something at that casino ask if you can pay with the points you have accumulated on your player’s card. If the answer is yes, ask about discounts.
Many casinos, especially the ones off the strip, offer discount programs if you pay with points. The most common one we see is 50% off at the casino restaurants. However, you can get discounts on all sorts of things. The South Point is advertising in the local paper this month 50% off on all restaurants, movies, bowling, salon, spa, show tickets, gift shop, liquor store, etc. The savings REALLY add up provided you have points on your card. That means you have to gamble! But, hey, if you’re a local or an extended stay visitor, you might as well gamble where you can get extra perks.
You also must remember to ask every time you pull out your card because these promos come and go and aren’t generally heavily advertised. We’ve had servers at Station properties inform us before ordering at their finer restaurants that if you used your card on Tuesdays you would recieve a 50% reduction in your tab. At the Rio you get a discount with the card but not every clerk remembers to mention this.
If you have a favorite place to play and haven’t fully researched that player’s club benefits, go to the club and get one of their brochures. Also, talk to the club rep and see what’s going on. It’s worth a few minutes of your time to reel in these huge discounts!
