Everyone knows that Vegas is a hot spot for marriages—quickie or planned. If you are coming to Vegas to “get hitched” a good time will be in store for all. Whether it’s a huge fantasy affair or a jeans and T-shirt ceremony we have met so many newlyweds that are just having the time of their lives. Here are a few facts about getting married in Las Vegas:
There are over 50 wedding chapels in Las Vegas. The marriage license bureau is open here from 8am-midnight including holidays. No blood test or waiting period is required. Clark County Marriage License Bureau, 201 Clark Ave. 702-761-0600
A marriage license will cost you $60 if paying by cash, money order, or cashier’s check–$65 if paying with a credit card. Debit cards are NOT accepted unless they are a credit card as well.
Requirements: must be a male and a female over the age of 18, driver’s license or passport, etc. required for identification, social security number. Divorced people must know the month, day, year, city and state of their divorce. Divorce papers are not required.

Fun Fact: in 2008 there were 95,170 marriage licenses issued in Clark County. This is down from the year 2004 when the most licenses were issued: 128,250.
Most strip resort hotels have their own wedding chapels. These are full service entities that will provide you with a wedding planner to help you with every detail. The strip resorts that advertise having one or more chapels are (in no particular order): Excalibur, Monte Carlo, Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Flamingo, MGM Grand, Imperial Palace, Tropicana, Las Vegas Hilton, Paris, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Riviera, Sahara, Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Wynn, Tuscany, Venetian, & Rio.
